Annual Accounts & Corporation Tax

1

Overview

Every limited company must file annual accounts with Companies House and a corporation tax return (CT600) with HMRC, even if it made a loss or did not trade. We prepare both, make sure they are right, and look for every legitimate way to reduce your corporation tax bill.

From £850 + VAT for a small, simple limited company.

2

Who we help

• Small and micro limited companies

• Contractors and consultants working through their own company

• Start-ups preparing their first accounts

• Companies switching from another accountant, including catching up on late filings

3

What is included

• Statutory year-end accounts prepared to the correct accounting standards

• Filing your accounts with Companies House

• Your corporation tax computation and CT600 return, filed with HMRC

• Reviewing allowances and reliefs to reduce your tax bill

• A clear note of how much corporation tax to pay and when

Confirmation statements are charged separately, from £100 + VAT.

4

Your key deadlines

Annual accounts: 9 months after your year end (21 months after incorporation for your first accounts), filed with Companies House

Corporation tax payment: 9 months and 1 day after your year end, paid to HMRC

Company tax return (CT600): 12 months after your year end, filed with HMRC

The tax is due before the return, which catches many directors out. We will prepare everything early enough for you to know your bill before it is due.

How it works

Common questions

My company did not trade this year. Do I still need to file?

Yes. A dormant company still files accounts with Companies House, and if HMRC has sent a notice to file, a CT600 is still required. We can prepare dormant accounts for you.

Can you fix mistakes in previous years' accounts?

Yes. We regularly review past filings when taking on a new client, and can prepare and file amended accounts where needed.

Do you also do the directors' personal tax returns?

Yes. Directors taking dividends usually need a self assessment return, and we can handle both together. See our self assessment service.

What our clients say

"HBA Solutions are very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. My company accounts were prepared in a very timely manner. They pay great attention to detail and were able to spot an error in my previous year-end accounts already submitted by my previous accountants."
